I'm sure you could use any tuner box with the correct connection for the plasma. What did you pay for the plasma ? And where's the returns auction ? I wouldn't mind a go.

I Have Been On To Mastercare And They Say That They Don't Sell The Tuner Box On Its Own, They Used To For £300 But No Longer Do, They Couldn't Even Give Me A Website Or Contact Details For Techwood..

Ok, which connectors does a Techwood have ? Scart ? DVI ? HDMI ? There must be a third party tuner that works. Which sources will you be using in the loft ?

TECHWOOD is a DSG own brand (dixons Currys) mastercare are their supplier but obviously decided selling the bits to make nicked screen work was a mistake...........
the tuner is not a standard unit could try the awful DAEWOO from RS.. or a ProV but needs to be VGA connection also you will lose all screen control etc..... and access to setup menu.......

I am afraid to say that your £300 has been wasted.... (if it sounds to good to be true then it usually is)

    Ok, the Techwood has scarts.
So just get a freeview box and you're sorted.
I've seen freeview boxes for as little as £50.
    Surely this is the answer.
    Or am I missing something.

Yeh but I think that connector is a DVI or HDMI connector. There is kit you could test with it for sure. Did you not get the remote either ?

Deano40, try contacting Goodmans. The Techwood is exactly the same unit as the Goodmans GTV-42P2.
