Technika dvd103 - progressive scan setup

Using this cheap player (until sony one arrives) with sony kdl32v2000 tv but not sure how to set the player up to play in progressive scan. I have been told to 1st set it up with scart and then to change the settings and then play through component but can't find anywhere in the menu to do this. For somereason i can't access the PREFERENCES setting, not sure why.

First, plug into you screen with component leads.

Select the component input channel on your T.V.

Then, you just need to press the video button in the top left corner of the remote until it says progressive in the top left hand side of your screen.
