Technics are apparently to stop making hi-fi sperates and concentrate on dj/lifestyle systems. Panasonic will be taking over that role (they make vacumn cleaners to) on the separates front.

Sads news, Techinics was THE name when i was younger.

Technics fell asleep about fifteen years ago, apart from SL1200/SL1210 turntables, I can't think of any particular Technics separate worth shouting about.
Kenwood are dropping separates apart from home cinema amps and receivers too. Will they be missed?
Oh well, I suppose both companies will not have to bother dumping all those unsold separates on Richer Sounds every year, for everyone to buy at a third of RRP.
Sony next to do the chop, I wonder...

About the time I left school. The point is Panasonic are a bit like Volkswagon, who own, audi, skoda, seat,rr, forgotten any, like panny who own practically all, more generic less individual...
