Watched these two films recently & both had a serious flaw (apart from the obvious ones like BW being too old) that comes from watching "We were soldiers" & "Black Hawk down" - The psyche of the US military is such that before you could say "George Bush is a mental giant" they would have sent in troops and aircraft to get "their boys" after what happened in these films to "leave no man behind"

Sorry just had to get that off my chest

save Monica Bellucci or get shot..save monica or ...
    sod it I'd leave'em behind:D

I have to say that I quite liked the films. Tears of the sun is much more hardhitting than I thought. and due to the extreme parts of the story the feeling of "US saving the day" doesn't come up that much.

I didn't like the camera style used in "Behind.." too much like Guy Richie. Trying too hard to be sylish but just gets on your nerves.

Not bad film though.. OK as a popcorn flick.. wouldn't buy it, but OK as a rental.
