I wonder what she did that made a child want to stab her.
No I was not and if you find it offensive then I apologise for your misgivings
I wonder if you'd have said the same about Stephen Lawrence?
Steve W
Sure, for any murder, I question the motivation. Even if senseless, the student or any murderer will have justified it to themselves.
But you didn't. You didn't ask why he killed her.
You asked what the teacher did to make him kill her.
Steve W
I guess it's the way it was phrased, a bit like the "so, have you stopped beating your wife yet?" question. "What did she do to provoke him?" implies that she must have done something to trigger the attack.
Probably told him to sit down and behave and he didn't like it , ya know blud!I wonder what she did that made a child want to stab her.
It will come a day , teachers will be behind bullet proof glass.
Teaching is a profession nobody in their right mind would enter into nowadays.
Most people have no comprehension how bad morale is and how hard most teachers work.
So called 8-4 working hours is a joke, try being married to a good teacher.
Everyday you bring back the children's worries and problems on top of enough work to bury most.
The media plays to the lowest common denominator, that's the tabloids core audience.
The teaching profession is at such a low ebb, it's not hard to imagine a total break down of the profession in a couple of decades.
Being a teacher means you need to be a social worker, a copper, an educator a shrink...
it's a job that can be immeasurably rewarding when you reach a kid, but overall it's a job eroded by crack handed government interference, a removal of teachers tools they had to control classes and chavvy , delusional parents who use it as free baby sitting and moan the second poor Kylie is told off.
Wouldn't do it for all the tea in China.
my guess is he is a bit of head case, hearing voices etc. Fellow pupils described him as a bit weird and very much a lonerProbably told him to sit down and behave and he didn't like it , ya know blud!
hopefully the day will arrive when people finally accept how vitally important teachers are and learn to respect the profession as a whole much better, instead of lauding celebrities and footballers. The best are truly inspirational and she seemed to fit that mould .A very sad dayThe media have spun teachers as a lazy bunch babysitting cute little kids and enjoying endless coffee breaks and chats in the staff room. As usual, the "Great British Public" jump on the bandwagon bemoaning anyone who they perceive has having an easier ride in life instead regardless of fact or reality.
I've seen first hand how never ending Government meddling has undermined and handcuffed amazing educators and forcibly changed their roles into drones whose only objectives are be getting kids to pass exams whether they understand the source material or not, and not stabbing each other.
