teac reference 500 system - phono stage built in?

    any1 own one of these - do you need to use a separate phone stage or is it built into the amp?

    Yer need a phono stage...least I did on the one I had it had the prologic amp! Excellent bit of kit for audio

    Thanks for the reply.

    I since realised I still had the cover on the stylus!!! doh!!

    For info the standard non surround sound reference 500 amp does not require a phono stage. Sounds very nice from vinyl in fact!
