I just purchased a TEAC HD250 CD and DAB Tuner all in one micro system.

I have a major issue wuth the CD player as it is really noisey. You can hear the optical thingie spinning around and it is really loud. If I rap it in a big duvet it blocks it out, but I cannot leave it like that. The place where I bought it had one on display and it sounded similar when we tested it later. We tried a denon (less dab tuner ) and the CD was silent ie no noise.

As anyone had any problems with this.?
Is ther an alternative system I can get?

    Many thanks

    Vince

I have one, the transport is not that noisy. Get it exchanged.
If you really want something different there is an Onkyo (sp?) system with similar features at a similar price.

Take it back. I tried one out in John Lewis and the CD transport was silent.
A previous Teac system that I had also had a noisy CD tray. I took it back and the current replacement has been performing flawlessly for some time.
I am having the Teac system for Christmas, so hopefully mine will be fine!
