My friend has a air of TDL T-LINE 3. I know the company went bust in 1998 and richer sounds bought the name and there have since been no rpoducts.

but i know nothing about these speakers....spec of any kind and original selling rpice + estimated value now, would be great.

I currently have both sets of these.
The T-line was a different speaker to the RTL 3.
Although the sizes were similar, the construction was much more solid and the components used of a much higher quality, especially the drive units- the tweeter being the metal dome from the mega expensive reference model.
In terms of sound, the t-lines have a much more detailed and focused sound throught the range. The base especially is much tighter and better controlled, though possibly a little too light for my taste (being used to the more punchy but less acurate rtl3's and mainly rock music)
Noticibly more information in the upper midrange/treble and a better soundstage and 'ambience' in the t-line3.
In terms of price, i belive the T-line3's were around £1200 at close of trading with the Rtls about half that. i recently saw some tlines go for £350 on ebay, whereas the RTL3s can be found between £70-100 (earlier type) and £110-150 for later (with integral plinth) facelift and SE models.
