Hope I can get some help. I have just got a TCL QLED tv 65in C71 series and have been unable to link my samsung soundbar Q70 to the tv. It is connected to the tv hmdi CEC port then to my soundbar but nothing happens the sound still comes out of the tv.there seems to be no way to switch off the tv sound
.Contacted TCL and gone through all of the stuff they cannot sort it. Is there something on the tv settings that needs to be switched off
thanks in advance.

try this steps
go to settings
audio
then turn speakers off
on s/psid and earc choose auto pass through
then go to system
look for cec devices
check earc hdmi4
make sure you connect your hdmi from soundbar to hdmi4 at the back of your tv

Thanks for the update as I still have the same problem. The model that I have does not have the ability to switch off the speakers that ican find.. the audio settings are as follows Dolby atmos which is on. Advance settings. Digital audio out set as pass through.
