Both these are less than fiver. Are they up to much? I beleive that only the sequel has 5.1 DD.

I've liked all the Luc Beson films that I've seen, so I was looking forward to Taxi. Unfortunatley I thought it was total pants.

    I think that's why they're so cheap.

I bought Taxi, haven't got around to watching it yet but I can tell you that the format is terrible. It's not proper widescreen. I have to put my tv in zoom mode to get the proper aspect ratio and then the bottom of the subtitles are missing.

    Highly annoying.

Taxi is brill. Everyone I know who has seen it thinks that too. Yes some git somewhere needs an ass wipping for the non - anamorphic transfer, but for a fiver its a good nights entertainment

Get Taxi from DDDHouse - it's very cheap and it does have a DD 5.1 track

Taxi 1&2 are two of the funniest popcorn movies you will see. and for a fiver well worth a pop.

I do agree with Tee your best off buying them from DDDhouse.com.

If anyone likes the Taxi films then they should check out Yamakasi also by Luc Beeson

I have bought the UK versions of Taxi 1 and 2. The picture of no 1 is still very good being non anamphic, I had to move the picture up while in zoom mode to get the subtitles (they are burned in below the picture).

The picture of Taxi 2 is much better being anamorphic and the sound is also 5.1. I got it for £4.49 from Play but the subtitles was off the screen on my widescreen TV like the first one.

I found out that if it came out like that then the overscan is too much on the TV for the wide mode (sony TV) and I adjusted it. I now get all the subittles ok.

yep Taxi 3 is cool as well. the french DVD should be out this summer. I only thought that the "torture scene was a bit too stupid"

Yeah, lineup and aspect are abysmal but the films are hilarious, first one is definitely the better of the two.
