Taxan U6-132 Projector Fault.. any ideas?

Hi chaps

I have a Taxan Projector here that turns on initially and the lamp starts to turn on then the lamp just dies but the unit stays on and then eventually the lamp light stays red and the power light flashes.

I have just replaced the bulb thinking it was that but it hasn't made any difference?

Any clues what this might be?

Just found it is under warranty, they suggest it may be the ballast...

Do you use the RS232 port as well?
I´ve some problems with sending the codes.
