Last time I seen this was on VHS from CBS/FOX. Only memory is I was expecting more from the director Arthur Penn -also directed Hackman in Bonnie and Clyde and the great and much undervalued Night Moves which is also in Premium Collection.

I've read HMV have a Premium Collection 2 for £15.00 coming next week so if they do I'll pick this up for a look.

I picked up TARGET in the 2415. on the Hackman/Penn promise of a good thriller.

A massive disappointment unfortunately. Hackman is excellent in what must be the worst film I’ve seen him in. The action/chases are decidedly lacklustre, the Matt Dillon character’s reaction to the events unfolding and the revelations he faces are totally unbelievable, and very poor use of the French and German locations . I could not believe this was helmed by the same director who made Bonnie and Clyde, Little Big Man, and Night Moves.

I’m sure there are people who will enjoy it, but not for me , I’m afraid.
