I have basic speakers at the moment - Trust 2xspeakers with Bass unit (getting better speakers when I sort this problem out), and I am getting a loud tapping sound coming from all speakers. But it only happens when I am watching Live TV via Windows Media Center (all other video I watch via Media center plays fine, and if I mute the speakers it stops). This happened when I had Vista, and now happens with Windows 7 RC1. This is my second set of speakers that it is happening too, so I am not sure it is the speakers.
The only way I can fix it is by rebooting. Works fine for a few days, but then starts again.
Anyone had this sort of thing happen to them, or an idea what might be causing it?
