I've run out of optical inputs on my Denon A1SE, and need to free one of them.
2 of the optical in's have a corresponding optical out (tape loop) which I use for my MD and CD-R decks.

Given that all the digital inputs (inlcuding the 5 coaxial) can be assigned to any device, I was thinking of connecting the MD deck to one of the Coaxial inputs but leaving it conencted to the same optical output.

This would free up one of the optical inputs but mean the MD deck wasn't 'looped' to the same input. But it would still have a digital in/out conenction to the amp.

Very difficult to explain, but can anyone envisage a problem with this set up?
