Tannoy HTS101 or KEF KHT2005.3

This will be my first set of good quality speakers (I have some Logitech Z5500 atm). I will be pairing with a Onkyo TXNR609. Are the KEF's noticeably better then the Tannoys?

I'm also looking to use floorstands for the rear speakers as I'd rather not drill holes in my wall. The speakers will be mainly used for TV, movies and gaming. My room isnt huge so the speakers will be close together (about 1m width and 1.5 length).

I have the Kef 2005.3 with Kube2 SW and Onkyo 607. I can't say how they compare against the Tannoy's but I'm happy with mine. One thing to be aware of regarding stands is that the kef's need a dedicated stand due to the way it is fixed onto the stand shaft and these are expensive at £99 per pair.
