Tannoy 5.1 sfx front speakers

I bought the black version of these today from my local R.Sounds(they price-matched Superfi @ £146.76!) and the guy in the shop advised that I use my stereo speakers as the front speakers instead of the Tannoys. I have a pair of Dynaudio Audience 40's on Atacama stands.I have a Yamaha Dsp-ax563 waiting to go once all the cables I've ordered online arrive(I don't want to start installing the system piecemeal,as the missus will complain even more than when she realised I was buying all this lot).I was planning on perching the Tannoys on top of the Dynaudio's otherwise, so that I have separate stereo/5.1 setups(the Yamaha amp' has A/B speaker switching, so I can have this as an option,right?)

Just use the Dynaudios at the front, imo.
I'm very interested in your opinion of the Tannoys, so please post your views

My stereo amp' was a Pioneer a400gte but the rear board on it has gone and it is not economical to repair.I have a Yamaha Dsp-ax563 waiting to replace it once all the cables I've ordered online arrive(I don't want to start installing the system piecemeal,as the missus will complain even more than when she realised I was buying all this lot).I was planning on perching the Tannoys on top of the Dynaudio's otherwise, so that I have separate stereo/5.1 setups(the Yamaha amp' has A/B speaker switching, so I can have this as an option,right?)

did richersounds price match the 5 year guarantee aswell? Superfi offer 5 years with the sfx so wondered if richersounds gave you it free aswell, please let know! Thanks.

I didn't look at the 5 year guarantee but if you check the Tannoy website, all passive components come with a 5 year guarantee anyway. Of course, this means that the sub's electronics are only covered for a year-is this the guarantee that Superfi are talking about, not some extended one that they give you?
The speaker wire is a continuous length 25 metres(82 freet) long. The guy in R.Sounds said that it is roughly equivalent to the Audio Innovations Ultra Micro they sold me for my 'fronts (£2.50 a metre-interestingly,it has Cambridge Audio printed on it-do they make Audio Innovations stuff?) I needed more 'wire for the fronts as my current 'wire is damaged by speaker stand spike holes. I haven't installed my system yet, it will be a few days yet as I'm waiting for more cables. I'll post as to how the system sounds once I've got some answers on my speaker placement questions ('see my other post as well please!)

Ooops, It's early and I didn't notice that you asked about the sub' cable, not the speaker cable. The Tannoy package doesn't come with a sub' cable. I got the R.Sounds Cambridge Audio Sublink(I need a long cable just in case someone advises me to put the sub' by my sofa, for example) which I got charged £22 for. This was reduced in the deal-they do this as part of the price match but I've a feeling they didn't knock off the £2 difference between their online price and 'shop price but I'm not too worried, as their service, including advice,preparing the speaker wire I bought and even carrying the Tannoy's to my car, was excellent,despite a very busy,packed shop on a Saturday afternoon.

Just thought I'd join in if that's ok?

I had my Tannoy SFX delivered on Wed along with an Onkyo 576 and Panasonic DMP-BD35. Up and running and sounding superb (although I'm no expert!).

As mentioned before 25m of cable supplied with speakers - not sure of the quality of mine - very very thin though.

I thoroughly recommend the Tannoys for the price.
