Has that bloke had his copy of 'Children of the Corn' yet?
He's been after it in the wanted section of the mag for years.
He must be at the edge of sanity.
Anyone even know which version it is that has that barn fight? He seems quite determined.

Yes. It's quite an entertaining 'slaughter' flick. You'd enjoy it if you haven't ever seen it.
But I don't know why the version he's after is so important.
Maybe he's an extra or a family member is in the film or something.
I think it must be 2 years + he's been advertising if I'm not mistaken, certainly as far back as I can remember.
Maybe, HCC should help out this poor soul. After all, he must have generated enough revenue for them over time to have earned a bit of help.
In fact, make it a mini feature on his behalf.
I hope he gets it soon.

Mr D's right. The version of this film that this guy is looking for, is the televised "Uncut version" which was shown on ITV accidentally, many, many years ago. Having never seen the film, but having read a lot about it, I do know that the BBFC trimmed a lot from the gore scenes, hence the reason this guy is after the "TV showing" so badly.

Admittedly, after more than 2 years of regular advertising, he could probably have bought his own personal cinema print to watch by now, let alone the video.

The main problem with his ad, is that the film he's looking for has only been shown on one occasion in that particular version, and was a regional ITV showing (not a national one), plus it was in an age when people rarely kept material on video. To be honest, I wish the guy the best of luck in getting this movie, but I severly doubt he will stand much chance. There's simply too many things standing in his way - so to speak.

Admittedly, the guy's certainly got tenacity to stick with his search for such a long time! Jeez, even I would've given up after 3 months!

Then all the more for the mag to tell him something! He's doing my nut. [IMG]
I'll be keeping an eye on him from now on, just to see.

Wonder if he's tried writing to 'Empire' and their video finder section?

    Latin Man,

(Sorry - can't be bothered to type out your full monicker!) As his ad has been in various magazines for such a long time, it is the video he is looking for, though if the film is on DVD, then there's a high chance that it will be uncut, unless it's a region 2 disc.

Maybe he will come up lucky, and get the film one day.... before he snuffs it. ;-)
