The place of childhood dreams, and tongue-in-cheek references (being one of the closest beaches to Liverpool along the North Wales coast).

We decided to pay it a visit today, the first time in my living memory.

What a nightmare.

The 3 mile approach road, largely one way because there are 1001 reasons why the car in front would want to stop, was one thing.

But the pinnacle, literally, was the blind hill onto the beach car park. One way, 4000 cars trying to get into a car park designed for 500.

Whatever council or authority manages this area should be ashamed. The total lack of traffic management of any sort is reckless at best.

We will not return, which is a shame, because it's a nice place.

If nothing changes, there will be an incident here one day.
