This is fantastic film.. I watched it again about a month ago and was transported back to the 1970's.. BTW the score by David Shire is Brilliant too. God I lerve this movie :) Why did they have to remake it??

The US Blu-ray isn't bad at all. PQ is dark and grainy, as well it should be, and the lossless mono audio is clean enough.

UK release of this would appear to be defective based on Amazon feedback.

I am glad I bought the American release.

You daft bugger, you frightened me to death! :rotfl:

I bought this when the UK disc was released. I did what I always do - I ripped it to a HDD in MKV, then put it on the shelf.

When I read your comments I thought it was a flawed transfer or something - maybe excessive DNR or EE or something.

But it appears the problem is with discs playing at all - maybe an error in the region coding. As I have a multi-region player, and will probably watch the ripped version (it ripped successfully, BTW), I should have no problems.

Thanks for the heads up, anyway.

Had a mild panic since I had't bothered to check mine, but it played fine in my unmodified Panny 310.
