Taking audio comentry from a dvd

I have a piece of software on my windows pc that lets me take audio comentry from a DVD and then save it as a mp3 so my sone can then listen to the movie(with comentry) on his ipod shuffle.
Is there a MAC piece of software that will do the same thing?

There is, providing you are NOT on Snow Leopard ( as it doesn't work on mine ). Looking for the link, I've found what appears to be a solution for SL.

D-Vision is very good (especially for joining avi's) but I see you have problems with SL. It works fine on my iMac running 10.6.1 - may be worth a re-install to see if that fixes it.

There was a thread on this about 6 months back, not sure if it resolved but it might be worth searching.

Thanks for that, DVD ripper is the programme I have for PC, i didn't realise it was available for mac.

Can you be careful when discussing DVD ripper on here as ripping just the audio cometary may be classed as re-authoring, discuss the programs by all means but no how to or guides please.
