I just had to say how bloody brilliant these discs are. I have burnt over 2000 DVD media over the last 4/5 years, and they are always the mid level ritek disks (amongst others/verbatim)
However, I found a bargain 100 Taiyo Yuden discs for £12 and so thought I would these a go.
I am just shocked at the quality of these discs. They have an average error of 2:eek:, this is after I have been used to errors in the range of 20 (some Ritek) to 400 (Prodisc).

If you need archive media, use these.

Burnt 100 and NOT 1 FAILURE. All with PI errors 5< average.

    Probably fakes in that case.

Taiyo Yuden are the most faked simply because they are so good.

    No they are not.

OR if they are, I would rather buy the fakes with an average of PI 2 errors (PO 1<) over 4.35gig, damn good fakes.

At least quote your statistics correctly: what are the PIE (errors), PIF (failures), and POF (failures). What is the media ID? Which program and drive do you assess these with? What speed for the disc quality test? Let's see a transfer rate test.
