    Hi Caleb,

I have never needed to program macros into the TAG remote but I thought it may help you if I post the text from the latest AV192R manual for macro programming. Just in case the instructions you have are incorrect. See below. I suggest you create a very simple macro as a test.

    Regards,

    Steve

To program in a macro function:

    1. Simultaneously press the REMOTE SELECTION key for the set of
macros you wish to program (av or sat) and the mute key. The
learning status LED and the REMOTE SELECTION key will both
turn red to indicate that the remote is in macro learning mode(1).
    2. Press one of the macro keys m1 to m4 or standby to which you
    wish to allocate the functions.
    3. Press the keys for the commands (up to 10) you want stored in
    the macro key(2).
    4. Press the VIDEO + (or VIDEO -) key to store your selections. The
learning status LED and the REMOTE SELECTION key will both
flash red twice, then go out.
    5. To use the macro, simply press the macro button.

In step 4, the keys used will be labelled "CH+" or "CH-" (to the right of the Vol keys) on older remotes.

Thanks for the reply to my query, and the instructions from the book.
These are the same as I have been trying over the past months, but when I do EXACTLy as it says, the macro only remembers the first instruction, and no more.

I have taken the remote to my TAG dealer and he cant get it to work either!!

I do remember at one stage a slighjtly different routine for the programming which worked, but then I changed my batteries and lost the macro!!!

Oh well, I suppose that I will have to revert to pressing four buttons instead on just the one - what a drag.

    Thanks Again
