Tag McLaren AV32R questions

Hi all,

After some input from you guys in the classifieds section I'm extending my 2-ch system to surround capability using some "old" Tag McLaren gear. As luck would have it I ended up in correspondence with The Kevin Green, who, it turned out, had a nice 32 for sale. Of course I bought it, and drove up this morning to collect it from the man himself.

It has the original remote - and here's my first question - on (correctly!) inserting some fresh batteries I'm just getting a flashing orange indicator light, and no response from the amp when pushing buttons. I've chosen AV on the Remote Selection area first of course.

I've sent Kevin an email, but have also suggested he doesn't bother with it until tomorrow, and in the meanwhile wondered if folk here had any ideas?

Hi

The red light on the processor flashes when you press the remote?
Are getting nothing from the 32? does it change inputs?

Nope, 32 in its own right seems perfect (as you'd expect after a full service), and responds to the volume control of my CD20R's remote (should have mentioned that!), but it looks like the 32's own remote is locked up.
