Which screen protectors are safe, apart from the proper ones made for your tablet? I have an Acer Iconia tablet and bought a proper Acer protector. I heard that the ones from the pound shop can damage your screen, but what Bout the ones on eBay or some other kind? Thanks.

I got two of ebay for my Tab 2 10.1 and I couldn't get thrm on without massive bubbles underneath so gave up. I haven't bothered to get another one. I wouldn't expect any problems if one can actually be put on properly.

In my experience, the best screen protectors are MediaDevil ones, and are available from either their own website or from Amazon. I have used them on tablets and phones and never had a problem, although must admit it's my nephew who fits them for me.

    Cheers,

    Martin.

Have bought 4 or 5 off eBay and no problems on either of my Nexus 7 or Samsung tab pro 8.4, very easy to fit if you take your time in fact forget one is fitted most the time.

No problems when removed either, no sticky residue or marks left over.

For my tablets I use media devil, however I have put a cheap generic one from Amazon on my dads ipad and don't have any issues.

i often wonder if they're actually needed as much as people think ?
if you're just using them round the house say.

...I always put them on.....then end up with an old phone or whatever sat in the cupboard ..worth next to nothing...with a perfect screen on it whilst its been replaced with something else.

tried loads of different ones with my and the kids stuff.....doesn't seem to be any difference other than price.

oh and I've never been able to put one on perfect yet

Just seen this as I wanted to see what people thought of MediaDevil. I put one of their protectors on my iPad mini and it's an utter nightmare for fingerprint and smears. Even worse than not having the protector on.

I really can't say I'm impressed with it.

See my post #4 above. I have used MediaDevil screen protectors on a number of phones and tablets and have no complaints against them. Having said that, and as I mentioned in the aforementioned post, my nephew fits them for me as he can do so without any bubbles, something I can never manage myself.
