Hi can anyone help, when I miracast my screen on my Samsung galaxy pro 10.1 it will not miracast in full screen on my 55inch lg TV, its like 4:3 and has black borders at each side. I can't change the aspect ratio on my TV and I have also tried unchecking screen rotaion on my tablet but nothing works, I get full screen when I miracast from my hudl 2 but not my pro.

Anyone help with this thank you.

The screen resolution is 2560 x 1600 which is a 16:10 Aspect ratio whereas your TV will be 16:9.

You can get apps that change the screen mode temporarily or there's a command you can type to change it in a command terminal. I'll post back in a few once I've found my post on another forum on just this subject. Both methods will make the display on the tablet look quite weird and poor quality so I would only use them if playing videos on your TV or if using a mouse or other means for control

OK I'm not sure if this needs root or not.

The app was called second screen, the app definitely does need root.

The manual way is a command run at a command line (download a terminal emulator from the play store)

    Type:

    wm size 1280x1080
    Or
    wm size 1024x720

    And to change back type
    wm size reset
Or a reboot will reverse the changes if you have any problems.

I've got no idea if the command line way requires root or not, if you're not rooted it's worth a try.
