I see on Play and Amazon that a new single disc version of T2 has just been released. The details on Play mention a "Digitally Remaster Director's Cut" Does anyone know if this a Pal version of the new transfer on the R1 EE disc? Supposedly that transfer is superior to R1 UE disc I currently have.

I think it's the same R2 UE in a new tin... if i'm right, the best transfer is still the R1 extreme edition. if anyone knows any different or can confirm this please post!

    Hi,

The "T2: Director's Cut - Limited Black Tin Edition" is available for about £12-99 on the high street in the UK. As far as I can tell, it contains just the film and a few extras, on one, single-sided, dual-layered DVD. Hence, the budget price. It does contain the Director's Cut (approx 148 minutes), and has DTS audio, but does not contain the longer Ultimate Edition, which also contained even more footage - which is on the 2-disc release of this film! The transfer is the same as the original UK/US "T2 2-disc" version, and not the all-new version, that's just been released recently.
