What the bloody hell's the story with the Region 2 release of T2 EE. I've checked all the DVD sites and there isn't even a release date. I heard somebody say November but I find that hard to believe. I could get the Region 1 but I'd prefer Region 2 if it 's coming out this century, anybody any news on the release ?

i havent heard of it coming out over here. not worth it really as same as old Ultimate edition on R1 with the slipcase. 2 disc DTS etc etc. i was going to get this, but heard it was naff.

find an old ultimate edition and get that. better packaging as well.

It is nothing like the UE edition.

First of all it has a lot less edge enhancemnt, and doesn't have DTS sound.

The R1 also has a hi res version for the computer.

Extreme edition is also LESS than extreme as it contains none of the really extensive features found in the ultimate edition, it does contain a brand new James Cameron commentary track but no DTS sound, although ive heard comments sayin the DD5.1 track is new and remixed and sounds excellent.

If u already own the ultimate edition and have a home cinema computer setup or a very large screen or projection system then its worth buying but otherwise stick with the version u have.

The EE is worth getting for the better picture and the commentary alone.
The DD5.1 track was my preference on the UE anyway, so dts track was no loss.

I think the main problem is that it contains the Hi Def version of T2, and to play it, you need an internet connection and a US proxy server to obtain the licence to play it.

As it (officialy) won't play on anything other than a computer in the USA, it's hardly likely to get here until Windows Media format for Hi Def is ratified.
