when is it coming out????
Not sure when... but its at the top of my waiting list, looks a superb bit of kit
If only it had GPS and had a bigger screen
The touch dual has been out for a couple of months but I'm really waiting for the touch cruise, I wonder if t-mobile will release a version of that anytime soon?
I know that O2 are releasing the new orbit2 soon which as far as I know is a rebranded/restyled touch cruise, in fact the orbit2 version is probably more practical as it seems like it would be more fingerprint resistant and the smoother shape would make it more pocket friendly.
I wonder how easy it would be to unlock the orbit2 when it's released?
Touch cuise has the silver ace, so more finger prints, looks like same size as orbit, like the extra cpu/ram, better camera, 3G, and finally a USB 2.0 Port!!!, no more slow transfers now, though it is listed as full speed not high speed, kind of misleading... also SDHC support is good, but no HTCTrack, I liked that trackball, I disabled the mouse mode but was great for up/down/left/right...
ANyway I need a keyboard so this or the TyTn 2...
I have the Ameo now which virtually unbeatable when it comes to features, but it is a bit bulky!
I never carry the keyboard with me so I'm used to using a screen keyboard, the cruise or orbit2 is much lighter than the tytnII.
I also have an iphone but just find it quite limited when it comes to features.
I looked at the eten glofish range and they seem almost perfect except for low ram/rom.
For me the perfect device would be the touch dual but with gps and a screen size of 3-3.5", it would give me the ease of use of a normal slider but the power and features of the cruise, does anyone know of such a device, I've been looking for ages!
Actually they do make a device, geared more to the commerical sector, hence the ugly big buttons and bulky design...
Ah yes, I think I'd already seen that model and discounted it for being fugly.
However it does seem to have a very good spec list!
I can't seem to find the dimensions or weight listed anywhere?
Found this which gives some idea of it's size, it actually doesn't look too bad in this photo, maybe I'm being won over by that screen size?
and this is better for comparisons:
I have the HTC Touch Dual (T Mobile Touch Plus), and it works well. Got it in December from Clove Technology Sim Free.
Only gripes are that the battery life is awful, and sometimes the phone runs a bit slow.
I had no need for GPS at this stage - have a portable SatNav/Safety Camera device (Pogo Drive) for when roaming, or inbuilt SatNav in car. If I get desparate for GPS on Touch Dual then can always get a bluetooth one.
What I'd like is the mobile TV on it - but T-Mobile say only if I get the phone from them... Oh beggar! (typo!)
Landed into our retail stores today guys, very very nice handset.
I assume you're talking about the t-mobile touch plus?
If so does that mean it will be available on contracts soon?
I'm also waiting for the Touch Cruise on T-Mobile.
Might give them a buzz later to find out the state of play.
Is the T-mobile touch plus the same as the HTC Touch Cruise?
The reason i ask is that they look different:
Is there any difference between them?
MDA Touch Plus is the HTC Touch dual.
