I am looking to utilise some dormant Tannoy FX speakers as a second room set up. Just want be able to listen to the music upstairs via network (which I have all the stuff for) and thought I would ues this amp.

    TA2024 Class Tripath HI-FI Amplifier T AMP + Power | eBay

Checking the manual for the speakers that state that are 6 ohms and recommend an of 15 to 100W. Would this amp be powerful enough?

    Cheers

I'd be interested in something like this too - I've acquired a pair of reasonable speakers quite cheaply, and would like to find a simple stereo amp to use them in the bedroom (source: phone, mp3 player, maybe TV at some stage - but I'm happy to switch sources some other way).

Yes, this amp will drive them at moderate levels. It won't go to earth shaking levels, but a few watts is all you really need. Many old valve amps were only 15W and were well liked.

For a little light music, you won't go far wrong with these micro amps.
