I have revised my budget from a previous post and so have re-submitted my question.

I want to upgrade the following audio system to a combined AV/Audio system :-

    Quad 44 preamp
    Quad 405-2 power amp
    Marantz CD6000 OSE (CD Player)
    Mission 753's (front)
    Mission 731's (rear)

I have a Sony DVP-S735D (DVD Player with internal Dolby Digital/DTS decoder) which I intend to keep.

I have a budget of up to £ 1600.- and considering an Arcam AVR250, Velodyne CHT-R 10 sub and a Mission M3C2i centre speaker.

My intention is to sell the Quad 44/405-2, keep the Mission speakers and use the Arcam for both AV and Audio.

I would very much appreciate some opinions and advice on my choices of upgrade equipment and if I could do better for my £ 1600.- (approx $ 3,000.-).

The system will be used in a lounge (15ft x 21ft).

Any helpful advice would be much appreciated.

    Thankyou.
    :)
