    Hi All

Heard some System Audio 1750s at a show at the weekend. Driven by new Primare universal player and 5.1 receiver. Very impressive indeed.

Anyone got any opinions on this slvete speakers? Pointers to on-line reviews etc.

(I did a search for "systm audio" on here but you get tons of results. Lots of threads have those two words!)

    Thanks

I think so. I did not take note of the model number but it's new, is universal and costs around €2,500 I think.

I questioned the rep. on whether or not the player had an SDI option. No he said but it is coming with modular output stages. In the future, the will be releasing DVI and HDI output options (they have licensed HDI from Pioneer).

Looks good and sounds great, with Stereo as well as multi-channel.

I've liked System Audio for a long time, you can find the System Audio website here (if you haven't found it already). They always review well and many years ago I nearly bought a pair of their excellent 905 bookshelf speakers. Unfortunately before I got around to it they lost UK distribution.

Really like the look of the SA7K speakers but I've just found out they're €9800 a pair

Have owned pairs of the SA 1050(floorstanders), SA1005, and SA 1150.

They are all great speakers, and they sound pretty good.

I don't know how good the newer models sound, but by the way the older ones sound, the new ones should sound great.

Waht did you have them paired with?

I thought they sounded great and we're very reasonably priced. What's the catch?

(I suppose their 4Ohm rating might cause a problem - particularly as I have a Pioneer receiver with is known for displiking anything below 6)

    Thanks

I run these SA speakers in my home theater.

Using a yammy az1 as the processor, they are powered by Rotel 200watters per channel.

That is indded a desirable piece of kit.

Especially with Promare's state intention of releasing modular video output stages (Pioneer HDI planned, or is it HMI?). Pity no SDI though for us HTPCers.

    I'm mildly intrigued here.

I'd have to see a considerable performance gain over my Arcam DV27 to really justify it.

As I use my player as a cd player also I think the Arcam will take some beating.

As for DVD-A and SACD, to be honest, I don't think it's a priority for now.

Very Pioneer the set up options. Just like my old 737. I take it it's a tweaked Pioneer internally?

And the same old questions now, chroma (if it's important?), layer change, problem discs, software updates, RCE, multi region, PAL prog, etc etc etc etc.

    Any guinea pigs out there?
