Could someone please explain what this means, as I've seen a Sharp Projector that claims that the DVI terminal is NOT compatible with sync. on green function.

    Thanks in advance

    Dean.

Some flavours of DVI connector can carry both analogue VGA and Digital data. So any reference to synch on green must apply to the analogue signal. You can spot a VGA/Digital DVI socket as it has some extra pins.

    Normal DVI

    ( ............... )
    (--- ............... )
    ( ............... )

    DVI+VGA

    ( . . ............... )
    ( --- ............... )
    ( . . ............... )

    :D

Most PC cards have the DVI+VGA type so you can plug in one of those DVI->VGA adaptors to take advantage of dual VGA displays.
