Is it neccessary to watch The first of the trilogy; Sympathy for Mr Vengeance?

I have seen Oldboy. Great film

Wasn't all that mpressed with this. Found it far too long and meandering. Then again, I didn't think much of Oldboy either...

You do not need to have seen any of the trilogy to watch any of the trilogy! The films can standalone just fine

Don't want to spoil anything but all I will say is some weird stuff, perverse stuff and sprinkling of dark humour
