Hi all you Sammy SP46 owners, I have had my set for almost three months now and am generally very pleased with my purchase, odd times get lip sync problems but thats about it.
I switch off the set from the remote & leave it in standby before heading off to bed, the only time I turn off the power switch is when i go away for a few days, is this ok, or should i wait for the lamp cooling fan to stop running, and then turn the power switch every time.
Whats the general consensus from you SP46LS owners on this.

Always let the fan stop first before switching main power off, I'm told it prolongs the life of the lamp. Don't ask me why but the other chaps on these forums are more technically in the know that me

Starfleet, I understand the importance of letting the cooling fan stop before switching off the power switch, but do you normally just put the set into standby before retiring for the night.

It should be left in Standby unless you're away for a few days/weeks, i'm pretty sure it says in the manual somewhere :)

Yep, Always leave on standby, power usage is very low something to do with the only major item that uses power is the lamp and that's off. not mush else in the TV that uses power or so i'm told by the techno's

less than 1w power useage. I think a fart would keep it going for a few weeks so don't worry about the electric bill :)
