Switching off my Samsung SP46L6HX

    Just about got the Sammy set up to where i think the picture etc is right for me, but how do you other Sammy owners switch off the set at night, the manual states for prolonged periods of inactivity it should be turned off at the power switch, at the moment i'm leaving it in standby for the approximate eighteen hours between viewing.

    Thats fine, long periods are more like weeks or months.

    You should never switch the set off from the mains untill the bulb has been cooled properly. If you dont you run the risk of damaging the bulb. This is why the fan stays on for a few minutes after you have switched off the set. It should be detailed in your manual somewhere.
