I am a newbie regarding HTPC so please be gentle ;-)

I am thinking of building an HTPC to go to a Hi-Def ready display. I was thinking of using a sweetspot RGB input capable capture card. To my surprise there is little information on those on this forum.

Do people use it with Sky? And does it work well to upscale the image? Is the Xcard required?

Some advice and/or pointers to other sources of information would be great!

Hi

The sweetspot works very well with sky
The Xcard is not required
Just install the card and drivers
Hookup the Scart to RGBs lead
Install Dscaler and away you go

It does not perform any scaling but does deinterlace very well

At bit more info can be found here

Many thanks

Do you know what the Xcard does that a normal video card can't do?
