I know Showshifter is the "official" PVR software for Sweetspot, but wondered what else works with the card and how good it is. Main use would be archiving from Sky+ to PC hard disk, so MPEG2 or 4 encoding needed.

    Comments welcome.

    Hi PhilipB
Funnily enough we've just put a user-review on our site that mentions a great sounding combination. (review right at the top of the page)

Basically any software that supports WDM drivers should work - there are absolutely loads including some we've mentioned in our faq.

We've focussed on ShowShifter mainly because it was the single biggest feature request that we had over the first few months after launch. Also Colin Tinto at ShowShifter was very helpful in the testing of our WDM driver.

    Hope that helps
    Alex
