Swapping a sky+ box to HD ??

Can i swap my sky+ box to a SKY-HD box so i can use the component out/hdmi out to my amp/receiver, but still use it with my sky+ subscription??

also if im not subscribing to SKY-HD will it work OK?

and will i get any free to air HD channels?

Yes you can use it as a sky+ box, I have multiroom with 2 HD boxes, only one HD sub and the other i use as sky+ and get all the FTA hd channels.

should be fine mate, all i did was pop my card into my hd box and phoned them up to pair the card to the box. All up and running 10mins. You will recieve free to air hd channels, bbcHD, ch4HD etc.

From Currys you could possibly get a special deal - or a supplier like that - from sky look on the sky website - ebay about £160 upwards.
