Having major problems with my Seleco SVT-150!

It was working fine for ages and then yesterday i went to turn it on, it started to power up and then went straight back to stand by. It seems to only do it when there is a composite signal attatched

When there isnt i just seem to get half a picture

    Anyone any ideaS?

    hi there!
I assume when you sa "half a picture" the top is ok and it gets darker towards the bottom?
it sounds like it is on the verge of going into protection mode (it blanks the pic progressivly towards the bottom of the screen)
to check this you will have to take the top off (be carefull)
when the top is off switch on and put into standby
looking from the back on the right hand side near the front edge of the defl board you should see one iluminated red led..
when you have found it come out of standby if the led remains lit at all..
then the system is entering protection mode!
when you get that far pm me and I will explain what to do :)
DO NOT DISTURB ANY SETTINGS BEFORE YOU TELL ME OR YOU COULD DAMAGE THE TUBES OR YOUR POCKET
    cheers

I'm having similar problems with my SVT150, after a year of faithful service. I don't get half a picture though, I get a full picture, with occasional horizontal flickering lines that get progressively worse, causing the picture to collapse and the projector to enter standby.

Gazzman, in your expert opinion, is this being caused by the power supply? If so, I'll buy another one from AJ audio.

    Thanks

    Hi Gazman,
The picture doesnt get darker towards the bottom it just has no bottom!

It now no longer produces a picture at all, when the PJ is powered on it just flicks into standby after about 4 seconds :(

I know its an old unit but it has been a labour of love for me and would love to get her going again!

    Any ideas?

Hey Mintymint. You can do a full convergence with the user remote - the grey one. Let me know if you need one of those, I can get hold of them.

    Regards

If more people need these then it might be worth doing a search for replacement remotes on google. My 320+ remote died and I got a replacement (different layout but full functionality) for 20 quid. :smashin:

    Regards,

    Rob
