SVS : Who has been the last to.........

Get there SVS direct from SVS USA........

Has anyone actually tried to order one from SVS, since they setup the UK dealer.........???

I think i might of been the lucky one.....
Put my order for a PB12-Ultra in 3 weeks ago and it arrived in Gatwick on Friday......ganner be delivered Monday.

Has anyone had an order that has been knocked back.....????

I never heard anythink from them for over a week, that i was getting worried, but it must of been the time when they was sorting out stock for av-sales.
Wonder if mine came on the same flight as their stock.

Nice to know that i will now get a 3 year warranty and the local dealer is only a 40min drive from me....altough i would still have to wait for the parts to be sent from america and before, they would have sent them direct to my home.
But i guess that nothing will go wrong anyway, as nothing went wrong with my last 2.

I wonder what happens to the warranty now thow.........
If you had any trouble before then SVS would just send you out the replacement part........but now they have a dealer over here, does that mean that you have to lug the thing to them and leave it with them for a week, so they can see what the problem is...????
I hope they lend you a replacement, while they look at your one...(maybe a DD15... ).....imagine a week without the sub.....

Anyway.....i think i might of placed my order just in time and saved myself a couple of hundred quid..........or maybe more....who knows what price the ultras are ganner be once they get here...

It is a nice feeling to be one of the last, kind of a double bargain as, especially with the PB12 Ultra, you know the second hand value is probably going to rise until they start importing them.

Not that I am likely to ever want an upgrade anyway

Well done for what might be the last "legal" Ultra to come into the country for a while As things are at present regarding SVS it seems they have no intention for the foreseable future to sell any Ultras or cylinders into the UK.

Av sales are handling all warranty work over here for US or UK supplied subs and in the unlikely event you were to have any probs you should contact them directly.I assume SVS will be sending over at least 1 or 2 Ultra drivers as spares just in case one were to fail, due to the amount of Ultra customers there are over here.

What was wrong with the dual servo 15 set up,did it not make the earth move for you Did you sell the servos yet?

Anyway good luck with the sub and I hope this one lasts you for quite a while(well at least the next 12 months)by which time I may be wanting to upgrade the cylinder you sold me

Nothing wrong with the duel servo's......but they did get a bit to much from time to time.
A single servo seemed to work better in my tiny little room, so i've sold one and i might keep the other one....just in case... .

It's kind of angeleyes fault, as i was not intrestead in getting another svs, untill his posted his pic's.
I saw his pic's and thought.........i gotta have one..........it match's my pmc mains perfect in colour.
So i guess if it all goes wrong, then i can blame him....

Chris, I'm pretty sure that the only warranty issues that AV-Sales are taking over are for the subs they are selling, and the ultra doesn't fall under that category (for now). I might be wrong though...

I think they cover all subs ever imported from SVS, regardless of model. That is how I understood it from Ron. Ask Ian as he knows for sure.

Chris check inside the ports to see if the port bungs are in there.Saw a post recently on another forum where a guy (craigsub) had been running his sub for a while before he realised his sub had been shipped with port bungs already in the ports.

Chris, my original PB-12 Plus/2 arrived with no port bungs. SVS sent me some new ones but in the interim period I made a bung from some walking socks, stuffed with more socks It worked well, the tighter the squeeze the better. And you just know you have to tune the Ultra to 16hz

You could be right there.......
I was telling the wife how i had to turn the front room upside down again and how good the sub looked and i deffenetly aint selling this one......and how the bung's are missing.......
And she told me to " PUT A SOCK IN IT "............

Well i have not got very far.....
I only got as far as replaceing the Servo with the Ultra....have not evern callabrated it yet.
The kids came home from school and had to watch TV.....i had to pop out and pick the wife's car up.
So all my plans went to pot.......
It's starting to sound good where it is thow......it's been running for the last 4 hours now, so hopefully by the time i goto bed, it should of run it's self in and come up to room tempreture.

Look's like i've got to wait about 3 weeks now, till i can get thing's sorted......bloody work, why cant i win the lottery.
