so today I received my new SVS sb16 ultra subwoofer, however it didn’t come with a UK style cord only US 2 pin style.

Contacted Karma Av who are sending another cord.

However as I’m inpatient and anxious to use the new sub can the US style cord be used with an adaptor.

The pins are round in shape the same as shaver adaptor?

That’s a European plug. Cut it off and stick a standard uk 13A plug on it.

So if he wanted to use it quickly, what i do ( im Polish so have plenty plugs like that ) put pencil or something like that into top hole "earth pin" on UK socket to release cover and plug in EU plug in, and it does the job.

    Check this video

That's potentially lethal. Get the proper cable or fit a UK plug.

I did like this plenty if time and I'm still in one piece, but yeah for long term I would just get adapter and it's sorted, or like Jase mentioned get yourself new power lead

Got it working, managed to get a US to UK travel adaptor.
Did the trick, spoke to SVS just to make sure no issues

After a bit of tinkering, the sub sounds amazing. Bass is unreal. A real house shaker
