Really excited for this one, almost pull the trigger for an SB1000.
Need to wait a bit longer (1 month) to have my hands on a SB1000 Pro.

Depending on the finsh you want, there may still be a few around after launch orders are complete.

We all get to know in the next 24hrs or so.

We have just had news of our allocation from the first batch of SB's and PB's if anyone is looking for one? Please drop me a message if you're interested. Best, Tom

I sent the SB1000 I bought back to where I got it from, as the low level rumble was a negative for me. I might’ve been able to put up with it, but would’ve played on my mind, and limited placement options if wanting close to listening position. Only seemed to disappear when setting the crossover to approx 60hz. SVS support and Ed were great though in trying to help me sort it.

Received my SB1000 Pro from @AmericanAudio today. Plugged it in and happily it seems to be silent at the moment, although I haven’t set it up properly yet. So as long as the crossover is set to LFE correctly which I think it is, then I think it’s fine no rumble. Much better. Will get it setup properly tomorrow and run YPAO. Great service from AmericanAudio and handling the pre-order, messaging and keeping me up to date etc.Thanks.

In regards to the setup with the ICI Amp panel, it’s recommended to set to -10db in the SVS quick start. What is the approx equivalent of -10db in relation to a dial 75%? and should it be increased above this. I suppose if approx 75% then no.

Also the SB-1000 light changed to red from blue when it went to standby. Although there’s no LED on the front of the pro does it change colour from blue to red on the back. It’s been blue each time I checked it.

Don’t suppose there’s many 1000 pro owners yet so any 2k pro or others got advice.

Looking forward to it, I have a whiskey in mind to have in hand and join the SVS gang in a (late night) of drinking.

I intent to live report on the whole launch, specs, prices and UK stock situation. But i honestly know nothing more.

And to use the words quoted from SVS . . .
‘This announcement will dwarf anything SVS has done before’

Wether that is referring to the actual product remains to be seen.

Their Ultra range of speakers has been around for a little while now but I’m sensing that this is a new Subwoofer.

Will be way above my budget but will still follow the thread

The marketing pic wouldn’t suggest that, if it’s anything to go by that is.

Well in dec 2020 on a live stream one of the SVS guys said a 10” in wall sub was coming in 2021. I hope he was wrong and it is a pb16 replacement

Reading their facebook comments someone said that SVS have said the new product won`t replace anything outgoing. It could be addition to old serie, like dual driver PB36U as someone hoped 😅 or dual opposite which the SVS designer said in interview it could be in cards at some point cause there is clear benefits for it. :) In-wall sub and speakers are mentioned also in comments. Would they consider something even smaller than SB1000 Pro? There is lot of hype with the tiny Kef 65/92 woofers and clearly there is need for such products in the market to keep wife happy. 4000 Pro and 16U Pro ranges would be nice, but i doubt we see those soon as they came 2016/2017 so not exactly old.

Many are hoping SVS to jump 18" band wagon, but i think they have said there is no intrest for this as the PB16U is already so frickin massive and heavy. It would cost like 3000-3500$ probably and shipped from their China factory. They can`t compete with other ID brand prices in US as they have the "bill of rights" build in to the prices. Like free shipping/returns and long home trial period 45days, 1year upgrade programme etc. People do know their great support 24/7/365 (Ed M. even helping you individually with REW) and many are happy to pay for this.

Normal driver sizes go up in 3" jumps, 12"-15"-18"-21" and SVS do unusual driver sizes, 13"-16" so I was hoping they would follow the 3" jump and bring out a 19" driver!
Guess not! 😅

They really need to update their higher end stuff. I was set on getting pb16s but after reading the PSA thread on AVS .. it would be almost silly to go with SVS. I leaning towards tv2112s or s42.
I have a feeling they will release something like a prime pinnacle center channel or ultra satellite speakers or something like that.
