I have been turned on to this website for buying discs and live in Ireland. Does anyone know if they ship by regular post or by a courier company like SDL. I only ask as if its a courier I need them to deliver to my work address (which im not keen to do) as the site doesnt specify.

I guess the best people to ask are SVP, in UK at least they use Courier.
Never had a problem with them.

If you go through the website purchasing procedure then you can select for delivery to Republic of Ireland by international parcel carrier. A dummy order of 100 Taiyo Yudens would have shipping cost of about 16 euros (~£11).

Can honestly say they have been fantasic. Have used them about 6 times for delivery to Dublin, and very speedy too.

Usually within 3days. If you sign up to their weekly email newsletter, within a week or so they nearly always have a special offer for those subscribed, which cuts P&P by about 3 or 4 quid sterling which makes it very reasonable for delivery to ireland.

For those lucky enough to have a delivery address in the UK, the same delivery special offer is usually for a total of 99p!!

(Absolutely NO link to this company BTW - Just a happy user!)

I'm a happy customer, because of how a complaint was dealt with!

Ordered and paid extra for Parcelforce, because I knew if not in at delivery, I could pick up the parcel locally. Came by el cheapo delivery (20+ mile trip to collect). Emailed SVP - immediate reply (at the weekend), apology and refund of all delivery charges

I haven't seen a 99p delivery weekend in a long time. Probably due to the high cost of fuel. Which is, in itself, an issue worthy of a lengthy thread.

They do have a 99p weekend every now and again, usually the week after I've just ordered a load of stuff ;)

Recently it's been expressed as a £3.00 discount on the normal shipping of £3.99. It's often more than a weekend; sometimes a week-long offer.

My money's on the August Bank Holiday being one.
