    Hi

I live in Essex and need a 10m length of SVideo cable by tomorrow, the only place I can find open localy is Maplin's. They seem to sell the appropriate length's in SVHS cable, Is this the same as Svideo?

I'm hooking up an old projector (Philips XG20) and running the cables under the floorboards, Is there any problems running this length of cable in SVideo? and given the age of the pj is it worth splashing out on the more expensive cables?

    Cheers

Basically yes, S-Video & SVHS are the same lead. Although saying that SVHS is not actually a lead/connection but a video recording format ie SVHS VCR's. S-Video is the connection type used by an SVHS VCR for the best quality connection to the TV etc.

    HTH,
    Mark.

No they are not the same.

As Mark said S-Video is a type of connection but you can also find it on Games consoles, Digital Camcorders, Hi8 Camcorders, DTV stbs, Video cards etc as well as just SVHS vcrs.
