Guys

Hoping someone can help?!?!

I have a HTPC with an NVidia 6600GT GFX card & a Sony 100hz WS CRT.

I want to be able to connect the HTPC up to the TV until I end up buying a plasma.

I'm not interested in going the 'make your own cable route', looks too difficult (can't be bothered) but I have come across a little convertor that might make my life a bit easier...........Its a SVGA to RGBHV convertor.

Could I use this with a RGBHV 2 Scart lead to make it work?

What would the picture be like?

Could I also introduce a DVI / SVGA convertor (like the ones you get with new monitors) to allow me to use the DVI output?

Thanks in Advance
Stace :smashin:

AFAIK you can't connect VGA to scart as the video signals are different. VGA outputs RGBHV and scart accepts RGBcvS and one wont work with the other without hardware conversion.

Typical, never easy is it :rolleyes:

Any other ideas? I did try the S-Video route but it was absolutely appalling (unless it wasn't setup correctly?) desktop was unreadable.

Get comfortable and start reading This Thread. With nearly 300 posts it will be a long read, but it is all about VGA to scart leads.

HTH,
Mark.
