What really is the difference? Are the connections the same? I've been told a VGA cable would be suitable for going from my sky box (via an adaptor) to my projector but would an SVGA Cable not provide better quality? I have a Themescene H30A.

    Hello Dirk,

I would say they are the same cable, both with 15 pin 'D' connectors and the same pinouts , so buy either :)

    Mark.

    Hi

Be carefull not to make the cable too long as an RGB signal will degrade rapidly after 6 metres or so.
Also look at getting a good quality cable like an Ixos.

I purchased a 10 metre one (could use a shorter one) and it was the cheapest i could find (about £20). But surely it will still be a much better picture than my current single yellow cable (composite i think) used for sky?

    Hi

Chalk and cheese - try the RGB lead and see you are happy with the image. Also make sure you dont have any loops in the cable as this will cause interference.
    ;)
