I am trying to burn SVCDs which my DVD player is supposed to take.

What I have done so far is capture analogue to Svcd format (mpeg 2 for video bitrate 2.6Mbs,moeg1 for sound). When captured I drag and drop into nero which accepts it. I create a menu and Then I burn it using standard SVCD nero settings.

    Result is:
DVD player recogises its an SVCD but doesnt play it

    What am I doin wrong?

Could be a Nero problem, I vaguely remember reading that Nero doesn't do SVCDs very well and needs special codecs etc.

You could also try burning without the menu added.

It shouldnt need to convert it Im capturing using ATI radeon and supplied ATI capture program direct to SVCD format (mpeg2 with mpeg1 sound).

Will try without neri menu but have had nero meny working with photocds that i have produced.
