Laminate flooring will make no difference, but the size of the room will.

Loud bass is very much easier to come by than deep bass although the average size bedroom makes both a possibility.

As regards which sub? Tell us what sort of budget you've got in mind.

For £200 I bought the BK XLS200 Sub and it gives cracking Low and powerful Bass. I use it for Movies and Music (anything from Dance-Rock) and it always delivers with no problems or delay. My room is about 12 x 14 ft and more than capable to fill the room with plenty of Bass, when I first turned it on it made my doors rattle with the Bass! The Neighbours probably thought there was an earthquake!

Build quality is excellent with a great finish (I have it in Cherry) and it weighs about 12.5kg. I comes with rubber feet (perfect for your floor) and spikes.

I honestly cannot fault it and would recommend it to anyone.

    Hope this helps.

Try the mj acoustics pro 50 sub , and you can buy a high level lead so you dont need a av amp u connect it to your speakers.
