    Starts tonight (Wed 12) 10pm

    1/10

Channel 5's first original drama for eight years, a police procedural shot in a documentary style with dialogue improvised by its cast; Fay Ripley ('Cold Feet'), Damien Molony ('Being Human', 'Ripper Street') and Clare-Hope Ash*tey ('TopBoy')

Probably the most realistic procedural I've seen, the crime really was the focus and not the main characters. There's potential in this one.

Not bad. Reminded me of The Bill around the time it was cancelled when it was post-watershed, had ditched the soapiness and focused on the crime solving ... though strangely this is produced by Paul Marquess who was responsible for turning The Bill into a silly soap.

Perhaps he learnt from his mistakes. My wife and I were trying to guess what parts were scripted and which were improvised, part of me thinks it would have been too obvious for all the err err errm bits to be made up on the spot

Seems more to me like S2 is really a continuation of series one considering there was a "next time on Suspects" at the end of the last episode. Good news they're making more though as it's pretty good to be fair.

Caught the ad last night by luck. Overall I thought it was quite an enjoyable show with a tadge more realism about it.

Just watched one of these. No idea what series or episode number it was, but it's a pretty amazing program.

The fact that it is improvised is a real game changer. It feels like you are watching a documentary. It must be a lot harder to do as an actor compared to a scripted program.

It's got a bit samey from the audio of a news report of the crime at the start, to the 'banter' at the end. I find myself predicting most of the episode now.

Can't believe these episodes are so few and far between. This third 'series' is now over, just four eps over 2 weeks, and we've got to wait until Summer for new eps which have clearly been made judging from the "coming soon" trailer.

Looks like I might be the only one still watching this around here, which is a pity because this current series is the best they've produced imo. I think shows like Line of Duty have forced them to shake it up, and they've certainly upped their game. Good decision to go with a continuing story this series.

The Telegraph appears to have changed is view since the last series (post #15) ...

Nope, I'm hanging in too and it's only because of you posting I realised it was back on. I'm sure I may have missed some of the other series due to them dicking about with it but I agree so far it's been very good. I think adding some over arching plots has helped
