Any advice on the best set of Av speakers (small units only) up to £400. Richer Sounds are doing SOny's SAVE705 for £399.

    Help!

Avoid the Sony package, theres much better speakers available. Richer Sounds have the following :

    How about
    Kef Cresta centre - 99.99
    Kef Cresta 2 - 149.95 fronts
    Kef Cresta 1 - 99.99 rears
Then you still have 50 quid to go towards a sub at a later date.

    Or a Mission setup
    Mission 70 c1 - centre
Mission m71 or m72 as fronts & rears
again with change towards a sub.

I think Missions 6 pack is available as well for about 400 quid but you´ll need to check the price out.

The prices quoted are on www.richersounds.com
if you want to check them out.

    hope this helps you

    Cheers
    Jase

Given the choice of the above two packages I would go for the KEFs. Great speakers.

The best cable for these speakers would probably be QED Qudos/Original, I think it's £3/m (yes I do sell it so I should know... but I sell more Chord)

I use QED silver Aneversary on the front sound stage @ £5 p/m and QED Qudos micro on the rears @ £2 p/m with my Mission six pack.

    sounds fantastic

Also get a good sub woofer cable, makes all the difference
